Frames typically come in 8″x10″, 10″x13″, 11″x14″, 16″x20″, 18″x24″, & 24″x36″ sizes and can be purchased inexpensively from a local store such as Walmart, Target, Michaels, etc. Alternatively, you can order custom size frames from Amazon, eBay, or American Frame. Custom frames purchased locally are typically very expensive.
Custom DIY frames can be made inexpensively from wood sticks such as cedar or poplar from Home Depot or Lowe’s. The recommended tools are a chop saw (45 degree angles), router or table saw (to add the rabbet), long clamps, and Titebond wood glue.
A frameless clamp can be easily achieved with a Manfrotto 3292 Car Window Pod.
